Director Krisstian de Lara is interviewed by El Diario de Juárez for El Dragón premiere

Director of El Dragón, Krisstian de Lara, gets interviewed by Juarez newspaper El Diario de Juarez to speak about the premiere of the documentary short at Plaza Classic Film Festival. The article “Con sabor local” (With Local Flavor) informs that the festival showcases fifteen films from seven filmmakers from the border community of El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico, including from the city of Monterrey, Mexico.

During the phone interview conducted by El Diario reporter Natalia Piña, Krisstian states, “It took me a day to film it, I remember that day, I rushed to Juarez to find a fire spitter and I found Jorge.” The article mentions how Krisstian had limited time to film the project and find a fire breather. When asked how Krisstian felt for the premiere of El Dragón at Plaza Classic Film Festival, he said,

 “I feel very happy to showcase the working people that fight day by day to attain a respectable life.”

The article also states that Krisstian would not be able to attend the festival since he is currently woking in other projects. Nonetheless, is excited to exhibit the film to the border community.

El Dragón tells the story of Jorge, a fire breather making a living working on the dangerous streets of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
