Krisstian de Lara, director of El Dragón, a documentary short produced by Kn2s Productions opens up about how this project happened out of pure luck and what he learned through this process. El Dragón tells the story of Jorge, a fire breather making a living working on the dangerous streets of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
In this official interview by Kn2s Productions, Krisstian speaks about how he had limited access to film the project and find a fire breather,
“Sometimes I believe that this project came out of pure luck. I remember I only had access to the camera that I wanted to shoot this with on a Thursday, and that day I went to Juarez, and look for a fire breather and Juarez is the town I grew up in, and I’ve seen fire breather sporadicly is not like you can find them every single day. So, it was kind of crazy for me to think that I was gonna go and find something and just shoot it.”
Krisstian also goes into depth about what was it like to film the documentary, the challenges of filming in traffic and what audiences can learn from Jorge.
